I couldn’t recommend her more! In fact I may take some lessons myself!

 TAILOR MADE LEARNING

I offer regular weekly lessons, flexible drop-in lesson blocks, monthly subscriptions and short intensive courses. So there’s lots of different paths for you to choose from.

I’m fully DBS checked and keep up to date with safeguarding training, both online and in-person.

Whatever level students wish to reach, they can learn at their own pace.

I prepare students for exams, public performances, university diplomas, music college entrance auditions and music festivals.

But if students just wish to learn for the pure pleasure of making music without any pressure, I do that too!

My student’s general musicianship is foremost in my mind, so I incorporate music theory and aural skills into my instrumental lessons, and provide separate classes alongside too.

MAKING MUSIC FUN

My main goal as a teacher is that my students are having fun! So I always make sure they’re learning music they enjoy. There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to learn a piece you don’t like!

With my vast range of repertoire in my music library and extensive knowledge of styles, there’s plenty choice of musical styles for students to learn. And I’m always happy to be introduced to new repertoire too! So if there’s something in particular a student would like to play, I’m happy to help them achieve it.

I’m also big on developing a secure and well supported technique, whilst promoting good practice methods that students are easily able to rectify at home. Making good progress should be fun too!

PROFESSIONAL STUDIO TUITION

I completely understand that good technology can make or break an online lesson!

So I use professional condenser microphones and multiple cameras to give you the best online experience.

And I can help students get set up too!

Check out my guide for everything you need to set up online and in-person lessons.

FULLY INTERACTIVE SUPPORT

I have a fully interactive online platform for all my students to tap into. They can message me, time and log their practice and upload videos. And for Moderato and Vivace subscribers, there’s access to my extensive music library and my new Video Support Series.

Students receive weekly lesson notes and termly reports, so they can always keep an eye on their progress.

Plus they can download support materials, manage payments, book and reschedule lessons, and keep up to date with all the Cellowalker news.

I can also help students keep on top of their instrument maintenance and keep them posted on my favourite partners for instrument purchase and hire. And those all important accessories!

CONTINUED ASSESSMENT

I prepare students for both ABRSM and Trinity exams. My track record is pretty good too, I’ve never had a fail, with all my students obtaining merits and distinctions.

External exams can be a great way to assess progress and give students internationally recognised goals to work towards.

But they’re not for everyone! So I also teach students for the pure enjoyment of just making great music, with no pressure.

I promote continued assessment with weekly lesson notes, regular reports and end of year certificates.

Whatever avenue they choose, their progress is my priority!
